First Day of School and School Vacations Reminder

Dear WHES Families,

On behalf of the WHES Community, we are wishing you all a wonderful summer break. We hope you can enjoy time with family and take an opportunity to rest and relax this summer.    As you plan your summer vacations,  I want to remind you that the first day of school for Grades 1-5 is Tuesday, August 29th. The first day of school sets the tone for the academic year. Please plan vacations accordingly so that all students will be here for the first day of school.

In addition, please keep in mind the school calendar when planning vacations during the school year. Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn as well as to connect with their peers and teachers. Please help make attendance a priority. Missing 10% of school can make it much harder for your child to gain reading and math skills, build healthy relationships, develop strong work habits, and be prepared for their future learning. Below you will find the school vacations for the upcoming school year.

February 19th – February 23rd

April 15th- April 19th
