At our school….
Mission: We aim to develop a culture of curious, independent, and passionate learners who will build a more connected world by accepting challenges, value each other, and grow into their unique abilities and beyond.
Vision: To engage our community to accept challenges, value each other, enjoy the productive struggle of learning together, and be confident as they learn who they are and the world around them.
Principal Carmona’s Message
Welcome to Witchcraft Heights Elementary School!
As your principal, I am so excited that you are joining our WHES Family. Being part of this community over the past three years has shown me what a truly “magical” place this is. The joy and love for all students is due to every single person who crosses our threshold each day-from parents to teachers, custodians, and students. I am confident that our school community will blossom as we work together to grow every child, every day, based on their unique learning profiles.
As we continue to shift to a new normal, it is appropriate to take an assessment of where WHES has been, where we are now, and what we see as our priorities for the future. My work as our school’s leader is to create a culture of excellence, engagement, community, equity for all, and growth. In order to make this happen we are focusing on three “big rocks.” These rocks are our guidance in everything we do. They are:
- Intentional planning
- Clear communication
- Building and equitable community
All three rocks are looked at through the lens for equity for all. We are dedicated to supporting all students, families and staff to building a strong, equity-focused community.
Working together, I know that we will be able to build on our strengths so that we can provide an amazing educational experience for our students. It is a privilege to serve you and our children.
