Nicole Brunelle

Assistant Principal

Nicole Brunelle Mateo is excited to be joining the administration team at Witchcraft Heights Elementary School as the assistant principal. She holds a CAGS in school leadership as well as a Bachelors and Masters in  Early Education and Special Education from Salem State University. Nicole’s career started in the Salem Public Schools as a dual language kindergarten teacher and first grade teacher. Nicole has committed her work through the years to engaging families as partners in the classroom and creating community connections to support authentic learning. Nicole’s experience is embedded in working with diverse populations, she has developed strong skills in working with Students with Disabilities and English Language Learners.  As a leader, she strives to empower teachers to create a fun and  welcoming environment that supports students’ ability to take charge of their learning.

She values the importance of building strong and positive relationships with all community members. She is fun, creative, transparent, and dedicated to creating the best learning environment for all. She resides in Nashua, NH with her family. When she is not working she loves to cook, craft, and hike with her family.
