Jazzy was born and raised at Canine Assistants at their facility in Milton Georgia. Canine Assistants believe strongly in the bond-based approach to raising service dogs.  This approach is a philosophy rooted in the belief that mutually beneficial relationships are those in which trust, respect, and confidence combine to form deep, loving, meaningful, and lasting connections.   

Jazzy has provided therapeutic interventions here at WHES. She has supported children and staff with sensory breaks, therapeutic play, “read to Jazzy”, group work, and overall experiences of benefit through stress and anxiety reduction, social interactions, humor and morale.

Jazzy is a seven year old Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab mix. She loves chasing balls, frisbees and bunnies in her neighborhood.  Jazzy especially enjoys eating blueberries and watermelon.  She is a master of finding hidden treats and loves to snuggle while being read to.  Harry the Dirty Dog, by Gene Zion! Jazzy’s favorite place to travel is the Outer Banks in North Carolina and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Jazzy is an expert swimmer and hiker!
