"Quick Drills":

Make practice feel like playtime:
        Build the words with magnetic letters.
        Write the words on post-its and stick them to the bathroom mirror.
        Spell the words out loud using your best foreign accent.
        Trace the words' shapes and cut them out.
        Write the words ... with sidewalk chalk.
                                     ... in the sandbox.
                                     ... with tub crayons during bath/shower.
                                     ... on the window with dry erase marker.
                                     ... with paints.

*Note* By the end of the week, please be sure your child has written his/her spelling words somewhere/somehow. Just spelling the words orally may not transfer to the test (and more importantly, to their writing) as naturally as you may think.
